Ingredients
- 1 head broccoli, florets350 g
- 3 mature carrots, thick coins250 g
- 1 large red bell peppers, chunks200 g
- 1 red onions, wedges150 g
- 2 tbsp olive oil30 g

Every ingredient links to its food page — same data, same score, same formula.
Steps
- Heat the oven to 220°C. Cut the harder vegetables smaller than the softer ones so they finish together — that's the whole art of mixed roasting.
- Toss everything with oil and seasonings and spread in ONE layer. Two crowded trays beat one piled tray; piled vegetables steam.
- Roast 25–28 minutes, stirring once, until edges are dark.
- Lemon over the hot tray, and taste for salt.
Why this score
solidly fillingLow energy density — a lot of food for the calories.
Three routes to fullness — one is enough
What pulls it down
Computed on the finished dish, not an average of the parts: 656 kcal goes into the pot, 1009 g of ingredients comes out as ~900 g of food → 73 kcal per 100 g. Cooking moves water, and energy density is the score's biggest lever — so we show the math. Full formula here.
