- 6 cups crisped rice cereal150 g

Steps
- Melt the butter over LOW heat, then the marshmallows, stirring until just smooth. High heat makes hard candy of them — low and slow keeps treats soft.
- Off the heat: vanilla, salt, then the cereal, folded until coated.
- Press into a buttered pan with a buttered spatula, using the least force you can get away with. Compacted treats are dense treats.
- Set 30 minutes at room temperature. Cut into 12 squares and hide some.
