Turkey meatloaf
Meatloaf on lean ground turkey with grated vegetables worked into the mix — moisture from zucchini and carrot instead of fat. The glaze stays; the heaviness doesn't.

Both directions are legitimate — the score measures fullness per calorie, not virtue. Every version is the same dish, rebalanced.

Every ingredient links to its food page — same data, same score, same formula.
Steps
- Squeeze the grated zucchini dry in a towel — it's there for moisture inside the loaf, not water in the pan.
- Mix everything except the glaze with a light hand; turkey turns rubbery when worked hard.
- Shape a free-form loaf on a lined tray rather than packing a tin — more surface, more crust, and the fat that does render drains away.
- Bake at 190°C for 40 minutes, brush on the thin glaze, then 12–15 more until it reads 74°C. Rest 10 minutes. Go easy on both salt and glaze — measured, that restraint is worth more here than any ingredient swap.

Why this score
solidly fillingNo single route carries this one — a moderate amount of protein, volume and fiber.
Three routes to fullness — one is enough
What pulls it down
Nothing here converges the way engineered food does — no sugar, no savoury and no alcohol penalty.
Computed on the finished dish, not an average of the parts: 1823 kcal goes into the pot, 1808 g of ingredients comes out as ~1450 g of food → 126 kcal per 100 g. Cooking moves water, and energy density is the score's biggest lever — so we show the math. Full formula here.
